The weather in the Bay Area is, typically, ideal in my opinion. Mild, little to no humidity, amazing. The past few weeks, however, have been record breakingly hot. Including July 4th, when MK and I were attending a friend’s backyard cookout north of San Francisco, where the temps were even warmer.
Fortunately, I still have a slew of sundresses in my closet purchased back when I had to contend with the regular stickiness of summer in Michigan. Including this one, a fave found at Urban Outfitters a few years ago. Urban Outfitters is a go-to source for me when I need a cute summer dress with a lot of personality and a palatable price tag.
I love the fun striped print, the twirly skirt, and the criss-crossed straps in the back. I added a belt, obviously, a handful of necklaces and a straw fedora purchased at Target recently. To play further into the day’s patriotic theme, I added a navy and white polka dotted flower barrette from J. Crew to the hat’s ribbon.
Hope you all enjoyed a happy (and cool) Independence Day!
