Hi friends! Here’s a quick rundown of the beauty products, fashion finds, and other various awesomeness I’ve been digging lately. In no particular order:

Audible + Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari and Eric Klinenberg ,    Audible , $14.95/month after free 30-day trial (includes two free audiobooks!).    Modern Romance for Audible , $17.50.

Audible + Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari and Eric KlinenbergAudible, $14.95/month after free 30-day trial (includes two free audiobooks!). Modern Romance for Audible, $17.50.

The traffic in the Bay Area seems to be getting worse every day. My morning commute is eased by the soothing and ultra informative sounds of NPR’s “Morning Edition.” But since the rest of my day as a PR pro revolves around the news, in the evenings I can use as a bit of a breather. I came across an ad for Audible, offering it’s 30-day free trial/two audiobook situation. And as though they know me personally, the ad included an image of Aziz Ansari’s new book, Modern Romance, narrated by the comedian himself.

Both have totally transformed my evening drive. Audible is so easy to use. And the $14.95 monthly fee that kicks in after the first 30 days includes one free book a month. Oh, and Modern Romance? It’s an incredibly intelligent, deeply relatable and endlessly hilarious look at dating in the digital age, backed by research conducted in collaboration with Eric Klinenberg, professor of sociology and director of the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University. Smart and funny. Doesn’t get much better than that.

If you watched my recent “Lazy Autumn Glam” makeup tutorial, you’ve already witnessed my first impression of this less-than-ten-dollar tube of cosmetic brilliance. The wand grabs every little lash, and creates a look that’s somehow both dramatic and natural -- the difference it creates from your natural lashes is dramatic, but not in a gloopy, clumpy kind of way. I also recently went dancing for hours wearing this after a day of running around in 95-degree L.A., and the not-waterproof formula DID NOT BUDGE.

This genius little tub arrived in a Birchbox box months ago, but I finally took it for its first spin recently, and I am hooked. It’s like the first sip of water after a long run on a hot day. It’s like the In-N-Out burger you treat yourself to after you leave it all on the dance floor. It’s like the first sip of wine on a Friday night. My hair is so soft, smooth and sleek after I blowdry it, it’s as though it has never seen a hot tool in its life. And this teeny little tub will probably take me through six treatments!, Free at !, Free at!

I’m not one of those people who strives to achieve “inbox zero.” But my personal Gmail account was getting out of control. I was drowning in all of the newsletters and daily deals cluttering my inbox. MK told me about while we were in Tahoe for a recent girls’ trip. I signed up immediately, and my inbox has never looked better. It scrolls through your inbox to round up all of the email lists you’re subscribed to, and gives you the option to keep receiving them as is, unsubscribe from the ones you don’t want, or have them compiled into a single nifty digest that you receive daily. Genius.

There’s a reason why this was one of the first colors I “hit pan” on in the original Naked palette. And why the past few times I tried to buy it as a single at my favorite Sephora location, they were sold out. It might not look super special in its photo, but this shadow is pure magic. It’s an amazing copper penny shade with a subtle shimmer that somehow looks fantastic (and slightly different) on all skin tones.  It’s my go-to everyday eyeshadow.

What have you been loving this month?
